Each year, about 800 young adults age 20-39 are diagnosed with cancer in the
greater Atlanta area. Most cancer programs in the U.S. have forgotten about
this group of patients. As a result, we often feel like we are the only ones
our age facing cancer.
When we look around the waiting room in our doctor's office, we are
always the youngest one there. It's a pretty lonely experience.
By donating, you help bring social support programs to young adults in the greater
Atlanta area. Nothing compares to the feeling of meeting someone your own
age who simply gets it.
