Are You the Youngest Cancer Patient in the Waiting Room?
We are, too! YACS Atlanta is a social group for cancer survivors in their 20s and 30s
who get together each month for dinner, drinks, trivia, or just to hang out. No doctors
or therapists. Just a group of new friends who can relate to the ups and downs of the
cancer roller coaster.
Our group is a great mix of guys and girls, and a wide variety of cancers are
represented. In treatment or out, join us!

Happy Birthday to Us
YACS Atlanta turned 5 years old this
year! Cheers to all of the amazingly
brave, funny, intelligent young survivors
we have had the pleasure of meeting.
Since 2006, we've hosted nearly 50
events and connected with over 200 local
survivors.
We're (Almost) Famous!
YACS Atlanta is featured in a newly released book about
the cancer experience in young adults. Planet Cancer is
written by Heidi Adams and Christopher Schultz and
highlights the many issues young adults face when
diagnosed with cancer. The countless stories from young
survivors (including our Atlanta group) will make you nod
your head in agreement and often laugh out loud. Find it
online at Amazon.com or your local bookstore.
